The Start of An Exciting Journey

I pinch myself everyday and continue to ask myself, What am I doing? My life is already extremely busy with a part time job, full time mom to two active kids, volunteering and helping where needed, Army spouse, daughter, sister. What I have found is an outlet for my creative side and people actually like what I create. Who knew?

It all started years ago when I grew tired of the sad and pathetic store bought, Change of Address cards. I should also mention we had moved so many times, I had already sent out most of what was available. My first cards were my own change of address cards. Then I made some referral cards for real estate agents because I was working in that realm and there was a need for those. I made business cards for some of my bosses and then I started producing personalized stationary. The friends that received them, would always get back with me and ask if they could buy more. I would respond, I have no idea how much to charge you as well this is just a hobby not a business. Then I had children and we started giving personalized cards when invited to birthday parties. Of course, the kids were not thrilled to get cards but the parents always were. I quickly learned that my kids always liked to see their names on toys, books and other items. They would always write their thank you's quickly on their cards with their names on them. Friends, kid's parents, coaches, teachers all started receiving cards from us as gifts. Now some people expect it and are sad if we don't come thru.

Being an Army spouse for over 25 yrs I have friends near and far. Thank goodness we have the Internet now and I have a new website. This allows ease of ordering from afar. Before I had to make mock ups and send them via email. It took forever to do any business. It's amazing the things you can do on the Internet now. I also now have an app. You can download it for free using Chrome, then go to wherever you usually download apps from. Type in JillAllCards (yes, I know the of is missing...only allows you so many spaces) and it will come up with a shopping icon going thru Wix. It's all legit. My kids think I am a big deal as they can download their mom's app.

So, all you busy moms/dads and working women out there, if you find yourself sitting in the carpool line and you still are at a loss as to what to get that hard to buy for person on your shopping list. Download my app and shop while you wait for your kids.

If only I can find an app that cooks and does laundry while I sit in the carpool line!!!
