Personalized Cards Make Perfect Gifts

One of the reasons I have this website is because of all my Army spouse friends who wanted to buy my cards. The military is one place still steeped in traditions. As many parts of society change with the times, the military still hangs on to many long held traditions. I never thought I would see people attending church in shorts or jeans, talking on the phone at the dinner table. The military stays true to it's many traditions.

In the military we still write thank you notes after attending a party at a superior's home. We still celebrate and welcome all the new babies in the unit. We welcome new spouse's to the unit, post, or to the military if they have just wed. We also still congratulate and celebrate promotions. Unfortunately we still have to welcome home soldiers from deployments.

All those situations could indeed use personalized cards. Wouldn't it be nice to show up at a promotion ceremony with the soldier's name and new rank on cards. You know that person will have to write a few thank you's following the ceremony to the person who promoted them and to those who traveled a distance to be in attendance. As a unit Commander's spouse, new baby cards with the units crest and some clipart are always in demand. As a spouse, you should have some nice cards with your name on them to send in thanks or as an invite or just to say hello.

I don't mean to sound like a stick in the mud, but email and texts just don't suffice in some situations. When everyone else is writing an email you will be remembered if you stick a card in the mail to thank that special person. Grand gestures aren't always needed, but you will be remembered for a hand written note.

Think ahead and order a friend or yourself some cards. Add your unit insignia, motto, whatever you like and it will be a wonderful, appreciated gift.

Military spouses...... thank you for all that you do. I have been in the trenches for 25 yrs and wouldn't change a day of it. Not all were good, but they have made me the person I am today. If today isn't a good one, hang in there!

With gratitude,

Trish
